re: Cyrus Kouandjio commits to the barn but he has not faxed his LOI in
I wish him well, I wished we could have got him.

I wish people like you wouldn't post. You are a fair weather fan. You have no idea what faith, trust and commitment are. Maybe you didn't read the 100 or so times Crimson Surfer posted how "fluid" recruiting is. Auburn MAY have the best O line in three or four years, BUT while they are developing that we will compete for titles over that same span. I am asking you in as nice a way as possible, PLEASE don't post again.
Not to go off on any tangent here, but I'm pretty firmly in the camp that thinks it's just that...talk.Auburn whipped us again today, just like they did in during the 2nd half in late November. No way around it, they are recruiting at our level now. Ruined the day for me, especially knowing that we are now done for the day. Crowell coming? Get real, just setting ourselves up for another disaster. LOL @ all of the insiders from BOL and others claiming he was Bama bound. AU is going to have the best O line in the nation in 3-4 years. Of all the talk of the barn burning, looks like their coaches are all staying and they are recruiting on an equal level with us.
Almost certain chance Cyrus would have to red-shirt for Bama.......his pass blocking needs a lot of work, and we all saw how Fluker did at the beginning of the year pass-blocking, even after a red-shirt.
With Aaron Douglas, Fluker, Arie, and a few other OT jockeying for playing time.....there was a chance that Cyrus wouldn't see the field next year....his ego, he thinks he is three years and out for the NFL. At Bama, he would almost certain red shirt, Auburn, Cyrus will start next year. It's that simple.
Aaron Douglas is a proven Freshman All-American in the SEC.......Fluker put in his RS, and his lumps last year....he's gotten a lot better. Then there is 6-6 335 Arie who didn't see the field last year. There is one of the top OT out of High School, Tyler Love, who is now almost an after-thought. Who can blame Cyrus from taking the easy road....he's actually a smart kid, if you think about it.
And maybe Auburn will pony up the $200k cash again!
For those familiar with Alabama's depth chart, did Bama need another OL this year? I know we've signed three others, but did we need a 5-star to be in good shape? Wonder if the staff had a plan "B" or if one was even needed.
Huge pick up for Auburn! Not a flamer here Alabama is still a couple recruiting classes better than Auburn but we are getting closer. I am not a delusional Auburn fan who thinks Auburn will win a championship every year but I believe that we can stand and be equals to any team on the football field and in the recruiting battles. Keep these things in mind, we have kept our coaching staff in place, getting a top five recruiting class two years straight and it looks as if the smoke from the rumors about Auburn has cleared up! I am looking forward to the classic Iron Bowls to be played from here on out. I do believe that the road to the BCSNCG rolls through Tuscaloosa this year so make it three years running guys!

Amen. We are all sick over this, but life goes on. I wish Cyrus the best as he didn't look super happy with his decision. I wonder if he has buyers remorse yet?Let me tell you something. I have gone to every Bama game in the past 10 years, have sat in the rain for the Tide, support our basketball program immensely (am leaving in a few hours for the MSU game), have waited for hours for autographs for me and my fam (gifts), and am transferring to Bama in the next semester. My Dad gives donations yearly, and I am good friends with several high ranking guys in our program, and your post sickens me. Don't ever call out my fandom again, it is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Now, you can go back and put on your crimson glasses and call guys like me "Fair weather fans". Trust and commitment is going to every Iron Bowl during the 6 year span and watching us lose, but waiting until the game was over and still yelling my voice out for the team.
I hate losing Cyrus, but it stings because all of the "Insiders" on other sites had him a lock to Bama as of last night. I wish him the best at Auburn, and he will do very well. CGC and staff have done a solid job recruiting.
I don't really understand letting an 18 year old kid ruin someone's day. He may or may not pan out at Auburn either way it does not matter where he plays. Even after CK's commitment both Rivals and ESPN have Bama's class rated better than AU.

The class as a whole is one of the best we've had since Saban has been here. It meets a lot needs especially on the defensive side of the ball, and better yet we are still in the running for the #1 player in the nation. Granted it is unlikely that he comes to Bama but we are still there. :BigA:
