^^THIS^^At the very least, I would want to meet the coaches.
That's all well and good - and I'm not a family member - but from all outward appearances, it looks like they were all blindsided by his decision, which means that if they "talked" about it, he gave no indication that he'd made the decision that he had. As a parent, I would not want my child making a rash decision about something this important, and if it meant putting my foot down and saying that I wouldn't sign the LOI, then so be it. At the very least, I would want to meet the coaches.
Since Cyrus had New Mexico on his short list I would think if he got burried in Alabama's depth chart he could transfer somewhere at least the caliber of the Lobo's![]()
I have been refreshing twitter all day and haven't seen this.I read on another Alabama site that CK may take another visit to AU, but this time take his parents. They said they got that info via twitter. Has anyone else heard that?

The father knows more about where his 17 year-old son should be than the son does. That is why 17 year-olds cannot make contracts. He dosen't have the maturity or knowledge of his father. The father should have the final say.
Hey, I don't disagree with anything you say. I agree on all accounts. But my point is after all of this if the kid still wants to go to Auburn then let him go. But CK needs to be the one to make the final decision on where he wants to go. So, let the parents go meet the coaches, this time "really" talk about it. But at the end of all of it, CK does not need to base the decision on someone else wanting him to go to a certain school.
I wholeheartedly agree! I say this as a parent and someone who wants Cyrus in Crimson!! If my son is in this position in 10 years, he will NOT make the biggest decision of his life by himself. No way, No how.The father knows more about where his 17 year-old son should be than the son does. That is why 17 year-olds cannot make contracts. He dosen't have the maturity or knowledge of his father. The father should have the final say.
Exactly. And we gave ole Cecil a hard time about $cam.:biggrin2:
