Per BOL: Lance Thompson on the Way Back to Alabama

People must be ignorant or really have selective memory on this guy. I don't care who wants to hire him, I don't care for the hire. No need dredging up some of his activities at T-Town that helped him make his mind to go to Tenn, but suffice to say they were worthy of scruitiny. I know people are capable of changing their lifestyle et al, but how do we know he's undergone a metamorphosis?

There were some other things at work there....and none of us can say what we would or wouldn't have done if we were in his situation. No need to get into those details here..and if anyone does, there posts will be edited to remove them. But it is what it is.

It is more about how he "Got into his situation" and then his reacton at ut

We just trade Sal Sunseri for LT and came out the worse for it

We don't and most likely won't know for a long time, but I bet CNS does. After monday night's game, I don't think I would question him if he said Luke Skywalker was gonna be our new OC.

I have reservations about CLT but I have 100% confidence in our head coach.

He could have made him stay with one word, but he didn't. Not sure he had LT in mind when he let SS leave, but its the way its happening so I have to believe CNS thinks LT is the best man for the job or he wouldn't have hired him.

We all will then just haev to disagree

For those in the dark, those "things" were the direct result of his poor behavior and decisions. They were not beyond his control by any means.

What I"m little worried about is how he'll implement the linebackers and how they react to the play... I'm not sure if he's the right man for the job, but maybe he has changed the way he coached these men.. or agreed to work with coach saban parameters set for him to deal with. It could be a blessing in disguise for Alabama.. We know Sal would return to Alabama if Kirby left next year.. so ..

I'm not thrilled about it. I guess CNS has forgiven (and forgotten) his departure.

I like what Aaron Suttles from the Tuscaloosa News said - he must have not liked that the guy that replaced him took the job he wanted at UT.

Good point by Suttles.

It's not hard to believe that if he'd stayed at UA, he'd be the new D coordinator at EwwwT.

Lets see Patrick.Atchison,Mosley,Depriest,Johnson.Hubbard,Anderson,Lee,Ragland and Devall. And the return of an AC who is a great recruiter and helped bring in the great recruiting class of 08? WHY SO SERIOUS?

Hate to say "I told ya so", but I posted this two days ago. I'm glad it has been finally validated....LT was a hell of a recruiter and his personal life is his business. I must admit I did not like how he tried to get AJ and others to switch their committments back when he first left, but IF Nick wants him back, then I'm fine with it. He played a huge hand in signing our 2008 class.

I'm good w/ Nussmeier.

I'm a little nervous w/ LT, but as long as he doesn't say one damn word about building a fence, I'd say Coach Saban has earned my trust. ;)

Still perplexed as to why CSS would have taken the Tenn gig in the first place, frankly.
