Manziel showed today he is not a one year wonder. His ability to break Pagan's tackle was unreal. There were numerous times one the linemen would have him in their sites to only see him take a quick step back or up and make a throw.
Mike Evans is unreal. I recall BET saying if Bama could not be physical with him, we would be in trouble. The refs did not allow Bama's DBs to be physical. There was an endzone view of Evans' second catch of the game to put TAMU insides the 15. He fully extended his arm to get away from Fulton. Last time I checked, that's offensive pass interference.
The officiating was pathetic. From Arie's false start to begin the game to Amari and Christion's two players in motion penalty on the second to last drive, the officials couldn't have been worse.
Instead of still enforcing the 15 yard penalty for a targeting penalty, officials should throw the flag for the penalty and immediately review it. Too many times those calls are bang-bang. If review shows the player shouldn't be ejected, why should the 15 yards still be enforced?
Glad to see Kenyan Drake back from his suspension that no one knew he had.
Nuss's playcalling was a sign that the Va Tech game was intentional. We did very little against Va Tech that we did today. If today's offense is what Bama is going to do, I won't complain a single bit.
No one should complain about the defense's performance. We had some good pressure, but Manziel is just elusive (ala my first comment). The secondary won't face another WR corps like that again.
Coach Saban commented on being pleased with the team's resiliency. It will pay off for the rest of the season. This team is battled test.
