What Corso's done is truly incredible. Overcoming a stroke to the extent that he has is something anyone would have to admire.I think his speech patterns are too disturbed. OTOH, Corso has made it a long way...

Well, you know Miles had an arachnoid cyst like Meyer's removed back around the turn of this century. I don't know if it's true or not, but I've been told that his difficulty in expressing himself started then. On the topic of Sark, I was thinking that the recovery from addiction is a lifelong process. That being true, who better on earth to manage a process than Saban. However, in the end, it's up to Steve...What Corso's done is truly incredible. Overcoming a stroke to the extent that he has is something anyone would have to admire.
Players practicing for their after-NFL career skillzOh I know, it just seems like a weird place to be coming from...when's the last time WVUA out of basement of Reese-Phifer Hall broke a story like that?

And take it one day at a time. It's the only way.you have to want to quit
He got retained and told everybody "open offense, more scores" all off-season then they started the season 2-2. Nobody buys his word on that front.I just thought if Les Miles was willing to hire a more modern offensive coordinator that a smaller school might give him a chance, but I guess not. Maybe he will be a sports analyst or an assistant.
Well, the "baggage" was there. It was never just "rumors." However, the choice is up to Coach and he obviously thinks he can manage the situation. I'm excited because I think that Sark may even be a better OC than Kiffin. OTOH, I will have my fingers crossed behind my back, in hopes...I am honestly very happy about this hire. And, like many of you I am sure, I assumed back when we first heard about Sark joining the staff that this was the succession plan when Lane left. It seemed like a great idea to not only get Sark on board to help with this year's offense, but to ease the transition to him being full time play caller. Looking back, it's hard to see why anyone would be surprised.
I am however a little taken aback because after reading some of the posts and opinions from the folks on this site who regularly have very reliable information, it seemed like the consensus what that Sark was NOT going to be the guy. "Too much baggage", or something along those lines.
I guess there was just more uncertainty surrounding this than you would expect, especially since it seemed to be in the planning stages for some time.
At any rate, I think he will be a good addition to the staff, and happy with the hire. Roll Tide!
It's indeed up to Sark to either seize the opportunity or to blow it. I hope he seizes it and truly feel like he will.Well, you know Miles had an arachnoid cyst like Meyer's removed back around the turn of this century. Totally agree with that...Late to the thread but wanted to say CONGRATS to Coach Sarkisian and the Bama program....this is a huge win-win for all!
Sark couldn't be in a better place right now.
Next year is going to be VERY interesting with CSS running the offense!
Well, Sark flew out to Hawaii earlier this week to close the deal with Tua. Draw from that what you will...Sooo...did this have anything to do with Coach Saban's decision?

We should've blown Florida away that day, but even if we got to play Nebraska I don't know if we could've beaten them. But it's better to know I guess.Without question at all. Homer was the definition of offensive genius. Brilliant, brilliant coach. Coach Stallings wouldn't take the cuffs off and I, like you, truly believe that it cost us the national title in 1994. Still hurts that a one point loss to Florida in the SEC Championship Game did us in when we had the offensive potential to run them out of the Georgia Dome.
Don't think so either. However, his sending Sark out certainly indicated what his thinking was about Sark, which was a change in a week. I'll repeat that I have as much confidence in Saban as anyone on earth to be able to manage Sark. He managed Kiffin. That's enough for me, if he wanted to go in this direction...Saban doesn't seem like the type to hire as important of a position as OC just to retain a recruit.
