From the outside he seems like a single minded kind of competitor. We'll see but I don't think he'll have that problem.I hope there’s someone in this young fella’s camp who can keep him humble and keep his feet on the floor. It’d be real easy, doing what he’s doing, to get the big head and get cocky and cause problems.
To be fair, Smitty wasn’t the WR1 the first few games , Waddle was.
I don’t know him, just see what I see. Been too many exceptional ball players who can’t handle the success and fame and money. From the outside he seems like a single minded kind of competitor. We'll see but I don't think he'll have that problem.
I think that could be Courtney Morgan in the red Alabama polo standing next to him. Not sure though.
guy with the white hat turned sideways was definitely me last night
Yep, that was a coaching issue. I understand not getting down to 2-3 seconds every play so the defense doesn’t jump the snap, but at least get it below 10 seconds the entire second half. We could’ve milked at least 3-4 minutes off the clock by doing that one thing. No excuse for this, I don’t care what type of offense we run. This is pure coaching and not very smart IMO. Once or twice then maybe it was a mistake by Milroe but it was almost every single down.
One way to run clock is to not snap the ball with 18-20 seconds on the play clock.
That's something he'll learn from this. Keep foot on pedal going forward until he's sure the game is over which is in late third quarter, not at the beginning of third quarter.Or just flipped to the short passing game. They were not going after Milroe. He would have picked them apart. But DeBoer wanted to run clock, so he ran into the teeth of a great defense.
They were able to match down the field because of 4th down situation.I don't know CKD allowed taking the foot off the gas. I do know Georgia made really good halftime adjustments, and we apparently didn't. Georgia won the halftime chess match. And they played ball control, not giving us many chances to do much. But we still found a way to win.
I don't know who to pull for in that one
On that drive UGA went for it on 4th down 3 different times. At their 29 yard line, at their 37 yard line, and at their 46 yard line. All 3 plays resulted in a 1st down. That 6 minute drive by UGA in the 3rd was a double edge sword. 1. It took their time off the clock, 2. It gassed us on defense. I don't know if you've ever done it, but that's equivalent to running uphill for 6 minutes when you are against a tempo offense.
As I said above, they were effectively 7/7 on 4th down. Unreal.Another thing to remember. Georgia converted five 4th down situation. That's unheard of .. stop them half of the time and we wouldn't be in this situation we were last night.
And yet we got to him 3 times for losses.Beck gets rid of the ball as fast as any qb in college football. It’s hard to pressure him.
Nope thats auburn.Vandy is not a pushover. Should win, but they are not the worst team in the SEC.
