A good WR would have caught it...on the outside shoulder where it has to be to keep a pick from happening. It was a hard one to catch, but asking a running back to do it is tough. The 12 man thing and the sack is what gets you. Plus, not seeming to be ready for OT. My son said right after we...
You are right. Nothing they did coaching won the game for them. We spotted both the field goals by our mistakes (blown coverage and interception). That's not great coaching, just the way it goes sometimes. Bama needed better execution, and we win! Plain and simple.
Re: Anyone thinks "bad coaching" got us beat tonight, please step away from the keybo
Just exactly what did they do that was so great? Our D had a blown coverage that caused their first FG. Our O had a int. that gave them their second. Nothing else got them any closer to even attempt any...
I think it's the opposite. He knew the D would be fine giving them a short field... However, I sure would have not tried the 50 yarder. I thought putting them back would have been much better. The OT play calling may have been the worst 3 we had all year, of course we just didn't execute.
Really? You're not serious are you? We left some opportunities out there, but come on. This is a great D we were up against, just like ours. No team in the country would have stayed on the field with either of these teams tonight, no one! Why do you think both O's looked so bad?
Yes, and can someone please explain the fumble play before the FL QB got hurt? What a bunch of of shrugged shoulders type of officials. Nothing ever explained???
Is anyone concerned for Vandy's QB this week? Seriously, if they play offense like they did last week at USCe; he may get killed. I actually have concerns for his physical well being. Maybe they should just not show up.
THIS^^^^^^
All I seem to notice is each week we hear we better be careful about this, and watch that (Demps and Rainey), then after the beat down we hear that the team was overrated/hyped. How about Bama is "THAT good". I watched a # 10 team yesterday as well as some other ranked ones and...
Last I checked Trent can run pretty fast, as well as Lacey. Maybe not the speed of these two at FL, but I recall in 2 games some break away TD's! Just because they are big doesn't negate their speed. Look forward to it Sat.
I agree. It seems like every year I hear the same thing. Last year it was Mallet, going to light up our young secondary. Note what happened when we hit him in the mouth. He unraveled. We're at home, and we will play hard, fans will be great, and Arkansas will be go home with a loss. It...
I was watching an old Star Wars movie this weekend, with the horned guy all black/red...reminded me of GA last night. However, those maryland unis were as bad as it gets.
Wow, memories! I thought we were going to get hammered that day and went ahead and sealed my blacktop driveway that afternoon during the game. My wife, who is a UT grad but absolutely hates FL (for obvious reasons) came out and told me Bama was about to beat FL in OT. I had to stand at the...
re: A.J. McCarron has a heckuva tattoo on his back
As the Jimmy Buffet song says.....it's a "permanent reminder, of a temporary feeling"....one day he may wish he'd not done it when it sags with age!
Re: BAMA vs Wichita St. Finals of NIT
In stating WS good wins, remember guys, we did defeat KY. Of course they look like a different team now, but hey, we're not chopped liver.
You have great taste Sip. I've lived in Nashville since 1977, just out of Tuscaloosa after growing up in AL. I wouldn't live anywhere else in the south. This is one great city, close to everything, and a bunch of Bama fans around here too. Great college and pro atmosphere with NFL and NHL...
Re: Early Look at the SEC Tournament
Yes, I watched the 2nd half of the Vandy game and I waas really impressed. They are much better than I thought they were, and seem to be peaking at the perfect time. Did you hear the color guy say that FL played the best 2nd half of the game against Bama...
