    Moving North-MN

Fellow TideFans- I read daily- usually multiple times a day. -I have been offered a sales promotion, but it means leaving Nashville for Minnesota. Ultimately, it means leaving the South- I have lived in TN/AL my 35 years- My question is this- are there any readers/ posters/ lurkers that live...

    Funny from an Auburn Fan

Re: Funny frm an Auburn Fan Great reply- but..... Who gets married on the 3rd Saturday in October? I thought a Southern Man Law #1 dictates no marriages on Big Bama Saturdays. Congrats on the nuptuals!

The most satisfying game you've attended

Been to some great ones- in school 1992-1997. My favorite was the night game vs Georgia circa 1993-4. Featured Jay Barker vs Eric Zier. We hit a fieldgoal to win and the stadium shook. Closed the Strip that night with the partying....ahhgood times.

    Jacques Mclendon

EdwardPatton, Nice to see a fellow Blue Tornado on line. The honor code at both McCallie and Baylor are admirable and a true distinction for the Chattanooga area. Hope to someday move back so our kids can attend McCallie and GPS. I graduated McCallie in '92, and Bama in '96. Go Blue, Roll Tide!

http://tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060125/COLUMNIST0202/601250424/1106/SPORTS Intersting article by Climer. It puts the can't miss prospect with the hidden gems in perspective. Obviously, we need to the 4-5 stars, but as the Patriots can attest to in the NFL, it takes the role...

Can anyone recommend good restaurants in N'ville?

Good eats For Sunday brunch- try the Tin Angel, across the street from Houston's on West End. For great atmospher and a really good appetizer platter- try Rippy's on Broadway- next to the GEC. Have not tried, but been told RuSan's is one to get to on Friday night. For really good wings, try...

AD for Florida- Who would you choose:

Play AD for Florida for a day: If Steve Spurrior is not available, who would you choose to be your next Head Coach? I believe the following is a pretty good list of College Football names, with a proven track record for winning, even in smaller conferences. 1) Kirk Farentz, Iowa, 2004 record...

    Stupid Underdog Picks

http://www.1045thezone.com/ Nashville Sports Talk has a pick'em you may want to log onto each week: The Stupid Underdog Pick Pick three (3) games each week in which you think the Underdogs (point spread) will win outright. Needed Rivalry

The UA vs AU rivalry needs to be placed back in the National Spotlight again. In order for this to happen, we both need to enter the game ranked in the Top 10. When is the last time the Iron Bowl featured two ranked teams. It is sorely missed. The Ohio State vs Michigan has taken the token...

sound bites We are in the Now generation. The what have you done for me lately thought process. Football fans rank teams from a final score and a Sports Center highlight, which may last :30 seconds. An example of the short term memory is Bob Brenly, 2002 World Series winner manager for the...

    BAMA BOUND!

Congrats- I would definitely recommend the Frat scene at UA- I was Pres of the Phi Gamma Delta in the late 90's (across the street from the Bama Book Store). Ask about old row vs new row- pledge old row. Ahhhh, the thought of pledges saving seats at BD, stirring Jack and coke with a shaker...
