Alabama QBs in 2024, II

Don't look now Jalen Milroe is on the cover of EA Sports College Football 25!

They'll come out with player ratings for the game soon I'd imagine.

Milroe's rating I'd speculate would be somewhere in the low 90's. 91 or 92 maybe.

Speed - 98
Throw power - 98
Throw accuracy - 75
Possession - 80

I don't remember all the rating categories they use. For reference, the last game published NCAA 14, had McCarron as a 97 overall.

Looks like from what I can Google, that Travis Hunter has received a 99 rating already.

I'm not a gamer so this is really a sincere question:

If you use JM as a QB (or any other player) on a video game, is the gaming system consistent with the player's capabilities/weaknesses?
Eh. They just have a list of stats, rated from 0 to 100. They partially try to be accurate, but at the same time it’s a video game marketed to fans, so a lot of ratings can be based on hype alone. I wouldn’t expect Milroe’s video game stats to be consistent with his known performance.

True.

Back in the Day I won Heisman's with Croyle, Zow, and Watts...lol

I always put myself in the game, made myself 7 foot tall and 300 pounds, play QB.....then scramble and win the Heisman with absurd rushing yards and TDs.

But even with maxed out everything, I'd get hit and fumble way too frequently. So I started running the wishbone option offense.

D was always two middle linebacker blitz....one would always get through.

The scores vs the computer became absurd.

Turning the Akron Zips into a national power was fun though.

I turned the Rajin Cajuns into a national power in the Big 12. I dominated that loser conference.

I was too much of a homer to do anything other than bring Alabama back to powerhouse status. This was back when it was exciting to see us ranked in the top 25.

I always started out as a homer....I'd win every game for years and years with Bama to the point where it was boring. I'd take over a 1 star team, raise them to prominence....then go back to Bama cause mama called and bring them back to prominence.

I spent a lot of time on that game.

Judging from my grandson it must be addictive. Lol

Yeah, little did we know back in the late 70s and early 80s when the gaming systems started hitting the market they'd be so addicting. I'm an "80's kid" and played my share of video games but lost interest around 20 years old as did most of the people around me who were into video games. Nowadays? You've got grown men with families who spend more time gaming than they do parenting or being a husband. Or you have a 30 year old living in his parent's basement playing online games all day hollering "MOM, THE MEATLOAF! BRING ME SOME MEATLOFF I'M HUNGRY!!!"

I saw he has a 100 rating on ability to divide a fan base.

That game had me for years. Was the only game I'd reserve at Babbages and be there to pick it up on the day of release.

There are still sites that have an uploadable rosters so you could have player names instead of just QB#12.
I think some people have created updated rosters or something that you can download

It's borderline criminal we never had an Official NCAA game with Tua at QB or with the 2020 Alabama team with Mac, Smitty, Najee etc etc.

I could have scored in the 100's I think.
Same with the LSU offense the year before. Two insanely talented offenses that could not be stopped.
