I’m fine with just letting everyone leave who doesn’t want to be here for whatever reason.

But our HC has shown he will kowtow to ridiculous demands so I expect we’ll continue to match demand for demand going forward.

Me I’d rather have a team of nothing but 3 stars who want to be here and work for it.

I’d take a HC with that mentality too.

We had that with Mike Shula teams and I for one don't want to return to those days so I am going to adjust the way I have been programmed to think for many years.

It would have made so much more sense for him to figure this out with our staff prior to entering the portal for all to see. Either way I’m glad we’re hanging on to him. I think he’s dynamic and I hate the idea of order teams coming along and buying our best players right off our roster.

It is not unusual in the business world to interview for other positions and then ask your company to match an offer.

If Mbakwe wants to play corner and receiver, then I don't necessarily have a problem with allowing him to. I'm not going to suggest playing those positions isn't physically demanding, but at least you don't take the same beating you do as other positions.

Lane as far was we know. We will probably never know the full details which is why I am not judging him. He was tampered with and turned down an offer big enough to leave your dream school.

And never officially entered the portal fwiw.
