Crockett said this LAST AUGUST when Cornyn asked the FBI to pursue Democrats in the Texas state house fled the state to avoid a quorum on Trump's demanded gerrymandering.

Prosecutor admits government lacks evidence of misconduct by Fed chair​

A top deputy to U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro acknowledged in a closed-door hearing this month that the Justice Department did not have evidence of wrongdoing in its criminal investigation of the Federal Reserve over the cost of its building renovations, according to a transcript of the court proceedings.

The prosecutor’s admission, which has not been previously reported, undercuts President Donald Trump’s claim that “there is criminality” in the $2.5 billion overhaul of the Fed’s headquarters overlooking the National Mall.

Attorneys for the Fed and the U.S. attorney’s office in D.C. battled over the legality of two grand jury subpoenas at the center of the investigation during a sealed hearing March 3. A transcript of the proceedings was later unsealed. Both subpoenas were quashed this month by a federal judge, who described them as an illegal effort by the Trump administration to pressure Fed Chair Jerome H. Powell to lower interest rates or resign from the independent central bank.

I’ve been in Congress through divided governments, bitter fights, and historic crises. I’ve never seen anything like the last 24 hours.

Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson killed Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune’s bipartisan deal to fund the TSA, Coast Guard, and FEMA. It was a deal that had the support of Senate Republicans and Democrats alike, 100-0!

Why? Because Johnson places his own political survival and fealty to Trump over all else, including long waits at airports or anything else.

We could have passed it in the House easily if only Johnson had allowed the vote to proceed. But instead he blew up the whole thing.

Where this goes next is anyone’s guess, but what’s very clear is that Johnson is the worst and most subservient speaker in modern American history.

I worked on a project at my previous architecture firm where an elementary school was being built. It is in the DeKalb Georgia. It had a name and everything. Then suddenly they decided for no reason at all to name it after Obama. The job had already been permitted. Under any other circumstances this would never be allowed. You would have to resubmit, but naming after Obama was no biggie.

Yep. The board decided to change the name. It was called Clifton Elementary. I found out the name changed during an office meeting where they were discussing the project and calling it Obama. I thought it was a new project. The only other president in this state that actually has a school named after him is Carter. The only one that actually makes since.
