There is no doubt that he would have been better off finishing out the year, ie Junction Boys. I suspect that he might have issues that create some very difficult times, maybe periods of oversensitivity. It's hard for me to understand those who are blaming Shula because;
1. He quit Miami for basically the same reason.
2. He did not perform very well in his two starts against mid level SEC teams.
This decision produced short term instant gratification but tarnished his college football legacy permenently. If I was his father, I would have flown down there and attempted to persuade him to dig in and finish the year. Maybe some spiritual guidance?
