Until now, I had always thought the spoilers were to apply downward force to help the car corner. What your telling me does make sense. That's the reason for spoilers. They break up the vacuum holding back the vehicle...

Actually, they do both...Until now, I had always thought the spoilers were to apply downward force to help the car corner. What your telling me does make sense.
I wonder why vehicles cant be measured by the total drag rather than by the coefficient of drag? The bigger issue is CdA or the coefficient of drag * cross sectional area. So even if a Dodge truck had the same Cd as a Ferrari, it's cross section is AT LEAST 2 times larger than a Ferrari. So the Ferrari would still have half of the overall drag of the Dodge truck. But as any aerospace engineer will tell you, Cd is just one number, and vehicle speed, air temp, air turbulence, wind speed, all play parts in the aerodynamics of a vehicle.
I wonder why vehicles cant be measured by the total drag rather than by the coefficient of drag?
Wouldn't that be more appropriate?
I really want one.
I've one reserved, we'll see if they ever deliver.I really want one.
That’s cool. My current car is paid for and still pretty low miles. I’m going to hang onto it for a few more years and then go EV. I will still maintain an internal combustion engine car for one of our family cars.I've one reserved, we'll see if they ever deliver.![]()
It's like taxes, somehow our nation can't handle a discussion about both sides of the budget at the same time.I wonder why vehicles cant be measured by the total drag rather than by the coefficient of drag?

I hope but doubt that the PTB are preparing the infrastructure for all this extra charging that will be taking place.![]()
Georgia accelerates past the 75,000 mark for electric vehicles
With a power surge from Atlanta-area drivers, more than 75,000 Georgia vehicle owners now are plugging in rather than filling up.www.savannahnow.com
there is a lot of work being done in georgia on getting a charging network in place throughout the state.I hope but doubt that the PTB are preparing the infrastructure for all this extra charging that will be taking place.
Aaaaaaand after seeing the final pricing, I cancelled my order.I've one reserved, we'll see if they ever deliver.![]()
There were a million pre-orders, and I'm sure only between 10 and 25% of those will actually turn into a sale.Aaaaaaand after seeing the final pricing, I cancelled my order.
Especially when the pricing comes in some $40% higher than projected...There were a million pre-orders, and I'm sure only between 10 and 25% of those will actually turn into a sale.
