I have nothing to add.

Of all the times in my life I needed something constant, something exciting, something for which to cheer to ease the pain of life - this team and the coaching staff, especially, does this.

On the plus side, I guess there's now nothing at all to prevent me from doing any traveling I might want to do, now...
….and maybe no more “55-0” predictions for a while either.. ;)

Random question. Does Reese not work for ESPN anymore? I haven’t watched late night college football highlights in a long time, and I recognize almost no one. Only guy I know is Mullen lol.

It's been a minute since I was this wired after a loss. I'm looking for answers and only see problems and more questions.
That's probably because for the first time in 15 years the same problems are plaguing us for multiple years. When Nussmier sucked - Saban kicked him to the curb. For multiple years Golding has sucked big time, yet Saban stands by him. For two years, BoB has been awful, but Saban sticks with him.
This is something new. The whole fan base sees it. And we are all hoping the GOAT does too...and does something about it.

I question whether we have talent or if we have “phantom” talent? I’m reminded of the Dubose - Cottrell era where guys we recruited were ranked high because we recruited them so we could win recruiting day with most points. Given what I see at numerous positions we may have something similar going on. That or our evaluation skills have dramatically diminished in last 3 years. I still think this team and coach combo has the lowest football IQ in the Saban era.

I agree 100% brother..As a whole our players looks weaker at the LOS on both sides of the ball & we're getting pushed around..

We've also lost a step as a whole with team speed the last 2-3yrs as well..

Changes are coming on both side.
I think Saban is too much of a competitor to let this stand.

He sees what Kirby just did running a defense based off of his. He sees what's becoming of the dynasty he built. I think Saban is really at this most dangerous when he's kind of backed into a corner.

Look at the worst years he's had then look at what happened after. 2010's 3 loss team lead to two consecutive championships.

In fact, of the six previous times Saban has lost multiple times (since 2008) at Alabama, 4 have lead to championships. It's actually the best indicator of future success, as he's only won a championship twice without a multiple loss team the previous season.

This is only the second time (ignoring the 2007 season) Alabama won't follow up a multiple loss season with a championship, and I think the big mistake here was he wasn't as willing to make drastic changes. I think that will change...

Receivers - there's plenty of accumulated stars there, but no one who inspires confidence they will make the clutch catch.

Secondary - I'm impressed by Kool Aid. That's really it. I know it's a sacred cow to mention "in phase" but our DBs simply don't turn around in time and haven't for years. Watch Ringo on the int today, he was tracking that ball like a receiver. We would have probably picked up a PI there. Something needs to change. We got DB alums in the pros playing better than they did at Bama.

Larry Bird had that innate ability to make just the right play at the right time. The '22 Tide has the uncanny ability to make the wrong play at the worst time. Give up 3rd and 7 on a running play where the back breaks contact early ? Yep. Drop key passes ? Yep. Penalties ? Yep.

Something isn't right with this team. The scary thing to me is we heard good things about their attitude and approach during the offseason. Just so mentally fragile, it appears.

I cannot understand rushing the field against the team. We're an average SEC team at this point.

He is. The man is tired and frustrated. He is basically saying if they are undisciplined, poor fundamentally, and not performing, it is on him and the staff.
This isn’t about poor execution. It is about coaching. And he is finally saying it.
Translation: Pack your bags and update your résumés Bobby and Petey.

There are others that will have to find a new home but those 2 are obvious.

IKR! We as fans have been “processed” to expect and support a Bama standard. The last 2 years on offense an 4-5 years on defense have not been up to standard. I’m hopeful there will be changes coming, but after seeing soooo many warning signs flashing over the past several years being ignored…. I’m no longer optimistic.

I’ll never question Coach Saban’s competitiveness. I just wonder about whether he has fortitude and energy to do what he knows he’ll need to do get the job done. It is one thing at age 51 or 61. He turned 71 on Monday.

So what I've gathered from recent board discussions is CNS got tired of having people leave for other coaching jobs every year or two so he decided to bring in a "young, bright coach" and groom him into a respectable DC. That's why, as I understand it, he's stood by Golding.

I think he asked BOB for 2 years. BOB should be gone to another HC position OR back to the NFL after year (please, please, please).

But what made CNS the GOAT is he went and got guys that were the best and if they left he replaced them with another top level coach. This is what CNS must do IMO, to return the program back to the top. Keeping mediocre guys has made us mediocre.

And nobody wants to admit it, but we are probably fortunate we aren't 5-4 with losses to Texas and Texas 3-6 (yeah, they came within one play of beating us).

Hopefully, this was the nail in the coffin for both O'Brien and Golding. Those two guys are absolutely atrocious. No way Saban doesn't see that, no way. We look pitiful this year, absolutely pitiful, considering the talent we have.
the sun will still come out tomorrow and to say this team and staff is a disappointment is an understatement. Simply, every single coach needs to be held accountable, including CNS. Don’t care we lost . I care with how we continue to play week after week after week. Once again our staff was out coached all night. Missed tackles, assignments etc.

Stating obvious but something or someone is broken . We lose to ole sis. Last rant, why is Will always dropping in coverage? GN.
At this point, what in the world is going to change ? Nothing. If Coach Saban and his staff could discern the problems and the solutions, they would do so and implement changes. Other than Coach Bryant, Coach Saban my be the very best in college football history but we really aren’t seeing that this year. I hope we can finish out with a respectable record for the seniors…… they deserve no less.

but if you kick the XP then you are in a situation to win with a FG not tie if they score a TD. Young has shown that he can work miracles before. I wouldn't bet against him in a 2 minute situation.
I wouldn’t have gone for it the first time, i felt it was too early in the game, but my point still stands: while the chances of missing or blocking an xp are low, those chances are still infinitely higher than a touchdown only being worth five points. Therefore you go for two so that a touchdown doesn’t definitely beat you.
