I’d say he’s really a braying jackass.
2,500 Americans were killed in the Pearl Harbor attack.
4 years later at least 250,000 Japanese people were killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Mostly Civilians.
Who committed the larger atrocity?
According to Bloomberg, citing a U.S. official with knowledge on the matter, U.S. President Donald J. Trump has “no plans” currently to deploy U.S. troops in Iran, specifically Iran’s strategically and economically important Kharg Island, but caveated the statement by saying that the U.S. will retain the ability to do so.
Ugh! That's like trying to list the benefits of necrophilia. (You don't have to bring flowers; usually they're already there.) Still though.....YUCK!
they could have saved some space and just said he has "no plans"According to Bloomberg, citing a U.S. official with knowledge on the matter, U.S. President Donald J. Not only would not a single one of those civilians have been killed by an atomic bomb had Pearl Harbor not happened in the first place, but the alternative was twice that many dead Allied soldiers.
Throw in the fact that we kept dropping leaflets in their cities telling them they were in danger of being bombed and giving them plenty of time to leave the cities, throw in the fact we chose prime military targets to decimate, that we got Britain and Canada to sign off on it (yes, we informed allies), and then that we warned them two weeks earlier to face “utter destruction,” I just don’t see how we can compare the atomic bombs with the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor.
One was an act of war that caused the other as an act to end the war caused by the first act of war (as far as American entry into it).
Having said that, there was a time not long ago when I could expect better of my presidents. Reagan told a joke about the USSR at one of the summits with Gorbachev (DC in 1987, l think) in response to Gorby’s description of the changes occurring in the Soviet Union under his leadership. Colin Powell and George Schultz told him after the meeting to knock it off.
And yes - Reagan listened, read up on prep for the next day, and steadfastly refused to tell any jokes the rest of the summit in deference to his guest.
This clown is genetically incapable of learning a damn thing. Combine it with his “cranky old guy who thinks the past was great” mentality and, well, some of us cannot wait for 2029.
That would be an unfortunate escalation in the war, to say the least. It’s starting to look like this hunch was correct and that the IRGC, in a desperate attempt to set the region on fire and rally jihadists behind them, is trying to blow up the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount. This cluster munition flew directly over Al-Aqsa and landed just 200 meters away. This shell would have destroyed the domes. This seems to be their plan. It is the only possibile reason they are repeatedly targeting the Old City of Jerusalem. There are no military targets there, and most of the population is Muslim.
In truth there are layers to the context but the comment by Trump Striked a nerve because:
1) It’s such a tiring worn out stereotypical hackneyed bigoted thing to say… The whole ‘Japs are sneaky’ ‘watch out for those sneaky Japs’ kind of thing.
2) My Maternal Great Grandfather was Japanese
3) Because of ‘2’ I’m proud of that part of my heritage and it’s a big part of my personal life.
It’s a bad stereotype anyway as if Japan is the only country that has ever initiated a ‘sneak attack’.
Does it really matter what a demented, impetuous, pathological liar says?According to Bloomberg, citing a U.S. official with knowledge on the matter, U.S. President Donald J. I found it disturbing...i guess it's either a lucky shot, or it's not as stealthy as we thought. i'm glad the pilot was able to land safely

Worth remembering that stealth fighters are not impervious to heat-seeking missiles. Don't know that that's what hit it, but I'd be willing to bet it was.i guess it's either a lucky shot, or it's not as stealthy as we thought. i'm glad the pilot was able to land safely

i was thinking with the amount of $ that was spent on the f 35 they would have figured out a way to address thatWorth remembering that stealth fighters are not impervious to heat-seeking missiles. Don't know that that's what hit it, but I'd be willing to bet it was.
Current vibes inside Iran. This is not a country being "indiscriminately carpet bombed" as you can clearly see.Everyone knows they are not the targets for airstrikes, and that it's a war against the oppressive regime. They trust America and Israel to target mullahs only.
Donald Trump knows more about Japan and its people than anyone, and screw WW2 , Donald Trump knows more about WW3 than anyone, being that he started it.I’d say he’s really a braying jackass.

If anyone should be commended in reference to those events it should be Floyd Schmoe.
He was a US citizen from Seattle who went to both Nagasaki and Hiroshima to help rebuild houses.
From 1949 to 1953 he and other US volunteers helped build around 40 houses.
Mr. Schmoe was nominated for the Nobel three times and in 1982 won the Hiroshima Peace Prize and was made a Honorary Citizen of Japan for his efforts in mending fences between the two countries.
Trump only looks to insult others and incite violence and discord and division.
He knows nothing about Peace or extending Olive branches.
I’m sure he knows even less about Japan and it’s people or events from WWII.
Screw Trump.
