Pretty much guarantees that we won't see a single snap of this game. Not happy.

Don't matter what time it is, if Bama wins there will be people celebrating.I'm surprised they didn't do a 1-2 start for the first game and then a 5-6 start time since it's New Years. Game over by 9-10 so people can still attend celebrations.
What moron or morons decided that scheduling these games on New Years Eve was a good idea?
Might want to update this to 7 EST. I just got an email from stubhub saying that the game time had changed to 7.8PM (I'm guessing that time is EST?) - So 7 CST (My time anyway)

I'm with you on this. No big deal for me. I just want to watch the game. It's only the end of the year. It's not like it's Christmas Eve or something like that where people go to Mass, caroling, etc..... I never understood the Happy New year celebration myself. RTR!
I'm like you.Im a football guy.If it's on,I'm watching. In this case,I'll be watching from the Jerry dome.I'm with you on this. No big deal for me. I just want to watch the game.

Seriously? Actually, that's better for me, if so. I think it's a bad idea to have it on New Year's Eve. I can't watch a Bama game with a bunch of people unless they are all Bama fans focused on the game. That wouldn't be the case down here at the party we usually go to. Stayin' home, watchin' the game!Might want to update this to 7 EST. I just got an email from stubhub saying that the game time had changed to 7.
Works for me! Our kids are young..so we never go out on NYE. I will love watching the Bama game with my husband and kids. A great way to bring in the new year.
That's what I'm seeing, too. 8/7. Ultimately, I'm home and glued to the tv!I'm pretty sure the game is still at 8/7 central. That's what ESPN is showing at the moment.
I haven't rang in the New Year in about ten years. Hard for me to stay up for a game that goes past 11 pm.
I guess this New Year's Eve I'll have to opt for mixed drinks: Geritol and Red Bull.
