Who do we (UT) hire now??

I think Tennessee goes for a proven head coach.

If I were them (thankfully, I'm not!) I would go after Gary Patterson from TCU. He always fields a strong defense, a great running attack, and is a consistent winner. If not him, then Kyle Whittingham at Utah would be my next choice.

College football, the gift that keeps giving!!

Would Peterson at Boise State consider leaving for a place with the resources UTe can muster? I hope not.

As much fun as it is - short term - watching the Viles suffer, there is the STRONG likelihood they will actually better themselves.

It blows my mind that Tennessee thinks that Gruden, Dungy, or Cowher would even think about going to Tennessee....

You're Tennessee. Sorry...

Skip Holtz or Kyle Whittingham is your best bet.

Wonder if Kiffen knows anything more on Hostessgate? And what about the recruits that have already decided to enroll?

Gruden and Cowher will be coacing in the NFL in 2011 and Dungy is "retired". His family is at home in Tampa and the kids are all in school here. He is going nowhere.

The east will continue to be dominated by Florida with the state of things as they are. USCe lost their bowl game and looked horrible doing it, Georgia is in a state of flux trying to hire a DC, we are discussing UT's situation. Meanwhile, Florida is raking in the 5 stars while their coach is on a break. Vanderbilt has the most stable coaching situation in the east. How can CUM have stress when he is getting paid millions, not having to recruit, and the rest of his division is self imploding!!:eek2:

vols ought to hire bobby johnson
