Who do we (UT) hire now??

I stated many times Coach Saban would retire from Alabama and Kiffin would hit the road in 2 or less years. "No way most cried at UT". Yes way. People burning mattresses in the streets and painting foul about Kiffin and his Wife on the rock of infamous dribble.

UT fans telling the world we have a coach everyone hates and that means he is a winner. "No he is not". Lame actually has a better chance of winning in the PAC-10 than he did in the SEC.

Had Monte not went with son Lame Kiffin's days were numbered. :BigA:

I wished he would have stayed. He was nothing more than comic relief. I will miss that. :biggrin:
 
Personally, I don't care who you get. I'm just enjoying the ride. This is freaking better than Disneyland.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, this happens. The football Gods are shinning down on me.

What's next for the vol nation? I hope you lose half of your recruits and the NCAA hammers tenn for rules violations.

I took a beating from tn fans in the early 2000's. I'm not sure if I can ever reverse the bitter feelings I have for tn.
 
I read on another board...apparently VolNation is saying Muschamp has agreed to a $3.5m deal. I can't log onto VolNation for a link. Its crashed.
Anybody confirming this?

I have heard that there is an agreement in principle. No word on specifics yet. When I was told all that was known was that he was interested if the offer was right. This led my friend to believe it was a done deal because he believed that the price and conditions would be met. Nothing incredibly reliable, but I have reason to believe him.
 
Its getting interesting with Muschamp, Apparently he met with UT officials today and some sites are saying he turned down the offer, The Edge a Knoxville radio station and some boards are saying there is an offer of 7 Years 21 Million Dollars Has no out to leave for Texas or Georgia.:PDT_popc1:

According to Hubbs on VolQuest they are in negotiations right now. Seems to think it will be Muschamp or Calhoun.

Sorry for the delay, but it has gotten really quiet this evening. Hamilton as we posted in the story I posted around 7pm is in Dallas and the focus is on Muschamp.

Muschamp, who normally returns calls promptly to his friends and colleagues has not returned many calls tonight.

It means to me that things are pretty heated up right now with discussions with Muschamp as he reviews everything about the Vols from depth charts to future schedules to everything you can imagine.

Muschamp is known for being a very thorough guy who doesn't get surprised by things.

Obviously he has not replied to our messages or text's today.

I suspect if it is this quiet then it just means both sides are doing it right. Why would WM want to leave UT w/o doing his due diligence? Considering what Tenn. did this year and how Lane and co. behaved I would expect any competent coach to do a little searching before diving head first. I would certainly want to know the water's depth. Remember who helped train this guy.
 
Good hire for them if it happens. Links to the southeast (and southwest) for recruiting, young, energetic, and a protege of one of the greatest defensive minds in football. His staff will be top priority and a direct indicator of his ability to field a solid team. I just hope Kirby Smart stays put.

Maybe so it has become an art these days. Still not being interviewed and being in Austin when every rumor out there had him in Dallas meeting with Hamilton puts a little water on the fire I think, just my opinion though.

Why doesn't anyone go after Chris Peterson? Is he just unapproachable? I'd like to see him in the SEC.

Someone in Peterson's family has medical issues I believe, which limits him to the Boise area. I may have him confused with someone else, though.
