Who do we (UT) hire now??

Well, I'll assume you're kidding but being a Vol you probably do, in fact think (pray) that Saban is all about the money despite the fact HE TOOK A $1,000,000 PAY CUT TO COME TO ALABAMA

I hope all of you are enjoying more great publicity courtesy of your young brash and now former head coach.
 
Boy o boy things really got interesting down in Knoxville! So the Kifkins are done at UTCheat! Amazing. What great day to be a Bama fan and a not so great day to be a Vol fan. I wanted so much to see us roll into Knoxville next season and steamroll the Vols with the Kifkins running for the hills.....

Oh I agree. This would be a good hire for them. (Not sure I would go great, he is unproven as a HC)

I have just heard that they are "full court pressing" him.

As I said earlier I have no way of knowing how reliable this is. I am just some poster on a message board relaying something I heard from a supposedly in the know friend of a friend.

As of yet he has not heard whether there is any indication of interest or lack there of from Muschamp. Only that there is already a hard to refuse offer being made. Apparently there are indicatiions that he has turned it down, but this person is not convinced that he did yet. Take it or leave it.

Yeah there are all kinds of rumors flying around right now, the Texas boards are all reporting that he turned the job down.

Convo with UT booster

1. Hamilton is safe. He knew Kiffin would probably seek only the USC job and expected it one day, just not so soon.

2. Job is Muschamp's to turn down, but most in-the-know expect him to do just that.

3. Fulmer returns as coach over Hamilton's dead body. He steps in as AD over Pearl's and Summit's dead bodies.

4. Other likely candidates are Kirby Smart, Paul Rhoads, Skip Holtz in no particular order.

5. Hostessgate likely to result in sanctions. Most older, saner Vol fans and boosters are glad to see Kiffin gone.

I find it very hard to believe that Coach Smart would go to a school at which he'd face Coach Saban every year. At UGA, Coach Smart wouldn't have to play Alabama year in and year out, only competing for recruits. UGA is also his alma mater. I think Coach Smart is ours until Richt hits the road and Coach Smart becomes head coach at UGA.
