It would not bother me to see the team take a few years to build, as long as progression was obvious. I would rather have a program that can sustain itself than a single run at a NC. But I don't live down there, and I only have to listen to an Aubie when I talk to my sister...
Thanks, and I suspect that you are correct. If we decide to make a hire like SK, let's give him time to grow into the job. It would take a few years for him to learn how to get it done in the SEC.NYBF... like I mentioned, I am not certain who will be our #2 at this point. I'm of the opinion that certain ones I mentioned (and a few I didn't) probably hold the backup spot... but none have emerged as a clear-cut leader. However, I might add that regardless of Saban's situation, we probably would not be far from having a #2 on the way to Tuscaloosa. In fact, IMO, I would say we've got the #2 choice all but signed at this point... I believe all that seal the deal would be NS saying a final "no" to UA.
