I've been following Bama b'ball since about the same period, and I can't remember us ever having a player listed at 7'0 or higher. Will he be the tallest player ever at UA? I remember Jeremy Hays and MC Mazique listed at 6'11 and maybe one or two more.

Am I correctly remembering that Drew Davis moved to LT and JM Boswell was at RT for most of the Tulane game? It may have been said earlier in the thread but the report from practice is that Mike Johnson is at LT and David Ross is in at LG.

How about this....."relative to" being in the strongest conference in America, and "relative to" how the definition of "dynasty" in college football has changed over the last few decades...we're well on our way to being a year-in and year-out contender. Aight?

For the first time since Saban got here I'm really starting to remember what it's like to have a "program" or "dynasty." I'm only 26 and Stallings was getting there, but I know some of you remember the glory days... I really think we'll be one of those programs who has "rotate in" type guys...

Jess, Quick question regarding Baron Huber....Why is it that he is not percieved as a good fit for the H-back position? Judging from his move to Defense in the Spring (even though he is back on offense now), and how tepidly people mention his name as a factor there, I'm a bit confused...

It is FAR too early in the recruiting process to say that any recruits are set in stone as to their "star rating." I would be willing to bet anyone that there is a significant difference in the rating of our current 3 star commitments and 3 star targets with AU's when we get to next February...

I would think it would exponentially compound any liability with a school that let him play, considering he would be transferring to that school for the specific purpose of medical clearance. I'm just glad to hear another success story on the academic side. I was worried about his future...

Let's do a little evaluating, Lord knows we need a little X & O's talk after this week... First off, Clemson is VERY good. You give this team a coach besides Tommy Bowden and think they're a consensus top 5 team. Proven Senior QB, backup will probably eventually be better than him. CJ Spiller...

I concur...not only is this guy a great athlete, he plays at a need position, and a position which is not always easy to recruit to. Anyone else thinking Jevon Kearse when you look at this kid's measurables? Although, Kearse was a safety in high school.

I can pull for any SEC team when they aren't playing Alabama besides the Viles. Our kid brothers across the state have, admittedly, gotten a little big for their manure-stained britches in recent years but I can still smile and chuckle at the tasteless and unsure way they handle mild success...
