2024 Braves Trades and Acquisitions

Ummm, yes, we do.

I haven't kept up with the price tag change since his pitching injury but I remember before then his projected contract was going to be crazy astronomically high.

I'm on the fence about it.

At the plate as a DH only he'd be like having another Ronald.....or heck even a Barry Bonds....SF version.

If he can ever pitch again the way he did before it would be like adding another Max Fried ERA wise... but with a Higher K/9.

Are the numbers being thrown around now just DH numbers?

I mean if it's doable without crippling our entire financial situation it would be very tempting.

He would be the biggest Superstar player to ever put on a Braves jersey.... I'm not saying 'Best' mind you...just that he transcends the sport.... Everyone knows who he is even outside of MLB fans.

Considering how bitter the Dodgers (especially Justin Turner and Clayton Kershaw) were when Ohtani passed on them to sign with the Angels, I really hope the Braves can land Ohtani. The bitterness from the Dodgers would be top notch.

Maybe I'm odd but I just don't see what Ohtani brings to the team if he can't pitch anymore. We don't need the offensive help and you'll have to blow a significant portion of the budget to get him. I'm just not sure he's worth the cost with the current question marks about his pitching future.

He led MLB in OPS last season and he was #10 the year before and #5 the year before that.

He is an ELITE bat at the plate.

He's not as streaky as Ozuna, and he's way more clutch than Ozuna. He's just straight better.

If he can pitch again he's just as good or better than Fried.

If we can get him I'd want him.

Generational player. On the Braves, he would be even better as teams couldn't pitch around him.

Yeah, I hate it that the dodgers got him. I hope he never wins a single thing ever in life.
He already has…$700 million in “wins”. Just kidding but it’s damn hard to think of someone signing a contract like that “losing” in any way, shape or form.

As for me, I can certainly relate somewhat: I am working on my fourth “million”. I gave up on the first three….
