It's mostly the sacks. He says that won't happen this season. Not like last year. DeBoer is a great quarterback coach. And I think he, along with Jordan Palmer, have helped Jalen with that. Sacks will happen, but I think they're kept at a norm. For one thing, the OL should perform better than last year. That helps a lot. I think we see a new and improved Jalen Milroe. I think he thrives in DeBoer's offense.
I don't think his biggest problem was the sacks, but his inability to see the open wr in the intermediate parts of the field. Crazy we talk about this, but I watched a video of SEC Media day where GMac and Coach Saban said the same thing. He needs to get better at "taking what the defense gives him" and get better at identifying open receivers in the intermediate parts of the field, rather than always looking deep or holding the ball and waiting for something down the field to break open. This to me was his biggest problem. Yes, the sacks hurt but the root of the sacks was what Gmac and Saban said. Basically not being able to identify open receivers in the intermediate.
