100%…Niblack and Benson as well. Also, Burton chose to have Ty throw to him for his pro day. I wonder how many receivers have asked their backup to throw to them on the biggest day of their life before?
Here is the thing. A NFL scout literally posted “I was wondering why Burton was falling as far as he was after seeing him in person at the Combine. Then i finally watched Alabama film and found out that he had a quarterback that couldn’t read a defense to save his life”

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
Pretty disappointing to be honest. I’m not asking for the 411 on all the secrets. But something besides “we played football today, and this week we will practice football” would be nice.
Yeah, man, there's absolutely ZERO information from his pressers. I'm sure Nick and other coaches LOVE IT. LOL! I don't even listen to them anymore. It's like a cliche machine of generic nothing. LOL!

It was also a home game. If Ty comes in does not do well and Deboer brings Milroe back in, the Vol faithful would have gone bonkers.
I agree, but this weekend is a home game. If it happens again, then we HAVE to try Simpson. We can't let ourselves get out of playoff contention without even trying a different QB

IMO Milroe was alway going to be a “project” from the day he signed with Alabama. Four star? Yep. Highly recruited? Yes.

But if you go back and look, even the recruiting services couldn’t agree on what type QB he was. Some had him as pro style and others as a dual threat. His athleticism made him highly rated prospect, not necessarily his skills a polished QB coming out high school.
Jalen's ability to run is what makes him special as a QB, but I think I've heard him say a couple of times that he would rather throw first. Maybe that's why he won't take the running opportunities when they are there. I think if he would do that, the defense would have to respect the run and it would open up the passing game for him.

If DeBoer makes a QB change I will be absolutely shocked.....shocked I tell you.
If CKB does make a change especially at a home game he might get a standing ovation and earn some credibility and who knows it might change the team outlook for the better,,,nah I'm dreaming.

Took a sec and went back too look at Milroes recruiting profile on 247.
Found that kinda interesting
It would be nice to see some short and intermediate throws, but those have become few and far between. It seems like it's throw deep 90% of the time and other throws 10% of the time. We had one perfect drive against Tennessee, and I believe we put some of those short and intermediate throws in there, and let our playmakers make plays.

My response would be, ok, we are pulling your scholarship today. Enjoy the last semester of your education on your own dime with your NIL money. Clean out your locker and go work out in the student rec center like everyone else.
Sorry deleted because idk what thread to put it in but it also doesn't feel worthy of its own since they did delete the post apparently

What ever milroe has as far as injury, he doesn't want to run for fear of landing hard and making it worse and it makes a questionable arm when healthy even more questionable and you wind up with what you got Saturday, I think he knows if he sits for a game or two to heal he may never see the field again.

Thankfully Bond is the only one we really miss. I'm surprised Niblack hasn't done more for Texas
I think Benson would be missed in a better passing offense. he's playing at the dumpster fire that is FSU right now and has already well exceeded his stats for all of last year. Who knows what he could do in a modern offense with a decent QB?

His pressers are a long stream of nothing but cliche'd coach speak. I wouldn't take anything from them. My guess is by this time next season there won't be one reporter showing up to his pressers. That's how uninformative they are.
Agree, I’m not finding these appealing at all, especially as season goes on. He doesn’t really reveal anything or use these to send messages, even in his own way. At worst, impression is…well as discussed at length here. At best, ok with boring interviews if we see the results and things moving in positive direction on the field
