If true, this is one of the craziest hires I've ever seen.

Reading the Auburn forums it reminds me of the day Ron Zook was hired, only worse.

Once again the barners stick to their word. They said they were gonna get a "proven" head coach and by golly they did. I would say he was certainly proven....., but I thought they meant....oh well. :biggrin:

One more thing. The barners can be certain that if a recruit signs with them he is a "Dye" hard barner or no one else wanted him or both. He is certainly not being overwhelmed by a proven winning coach.

How could you possibly think Gene Chizik is better than Tubs? This proves just how backwards they are down there.

This makes no sense.

We took a gamble on Shula, but at least he was a blank slate and not a 2-10 (0-8) record. I mean, good God.

I expected that if Saban was to do well, Tennessee and Auburn would have to make adjustments, but I did not see Tubberville going, let alone picking someone like Chizik up. It is simply astounding.

Well, it could be worse. He could have gone 4-20! Maybe he will go 6-18 at the BARN and be worth the hire!
